MEOW-ZA! It's a Hanna-Barbera/Russ Meyer lovefest until they hit us with a "cease and decist" when three of cartoondom's lovelies beat (literally) the odds to win the title of Best Garage Band in Maryland. Directed by NIGHT OF THE CHIHUAHUA puppy-pleasing, punk rock alum, Diane Cooper.

I LOVE ROBOT by Zach Clark
Thurs. - Sat. @ 8:00 PM
November 1 - December 8, 2001

METRO CAFE
1522 14th St., N.W.

Poor Cheryl Finkerman, all she wants is a little love, while all her husband Rob wants to do is invent stuff. Lucky for her he invents Tobor, an automated home service unit that brings back all her fantasies of adolescent appliance action! When Rob goes away to an inventors' convention she begins a torrid tryst with Tobor. It occurs to Cheryl that there are probably other lonely, unfulfilled women out there and that she's sitting on a gigabyte-grinding goldmine. She becomes Cheryl Finkerman, robo-pimp! When Rob comes home early he catches Tobor (now Roberto, the Love Robot) making sweet robot love to Sadie Istic, the dominatrix down the street who's acting locally, but definitely thinking globally. Oh yes, it's all great fun until Rob gets acid thrown in his face and Cheryl and Tobor end up lovers on the lam! Women behind bars! Evil killbots and a cockroach for a conscience! -- It is I LOVE ROBOT's pleasure to serve you all this and more.
